University
of Maryland-China Research Park
Founded by the University of Maryland and the Chinese Ministry of
Science and Technology, it is one of the half-dozen international
research parks of the TORCH program and the only such institution
in the United States. Its mission is to attract and support U.S.-based
R&D operations of Chinese technology companies in the segments
of Healthcare, Environment, Agriculture, Energy and Fire Protection.
With a strategic location in the neighborhoods of University of
Maryland and the Greater Washington, it enjoys the availability
of hands-on business consulting, funding introductions, investment
opportunities and networking with both potential customers and partners.
What's more, it has an access to the approachable leading venture
incubator, Technology Advancement Program (TAP) and technology commercialization
accelerator, Maryland Industrial Partnerships Program (MIPS). The
current tenants in the park include Top Orchids, Inc, Grandsoft
and AscentGene, Inc.

BioPark
At the mid-point of what is arguably the world's largest bioscience
corridor stretching from Boston to North Carolina, the park aims
to accelerate biotechnology commercialization and economic development
in the surrounding community and throughout the region with association
with the University of Maryland. It takes no more than an hour to
get access to over 40 life science research-intensive federal institutions,
including NIH, FDA and Johns Hopkins University. Close to a dynamic
private sector of more than 350 biotech companies, it owns an exceptional
workforce of 34,000 private sector bioscience employees. The park
constitutes of 12 research buildings totaling 1.8 million square
feet, parking garages and landscaped parks, with a total investment
of $500 million. Approximately 2,500 people will work in the BioPark.
Montgomery
Business Innovation Network
Located in Montgomery, Maryland, it consists of 5 innovation centers
with a variety of area from 12,000 square feet to 60,000 square
feet. It is quite convenient to get access to several scientific
R&D institutions and universities. Its main mission is to attract
companies specialized in biology and information technology. Over
70 companies have successfully graduated from these innovation centers,
including Aeras Global Foundation, Avalon Pharmaceuticals, Nextone,
Tetracore, Visual Networks, GeneDX, Rexahn Pharmaceuticals, Ariadne
Genomics. It employed nearly 1,700 local people since its establishment.
Seagirt Industrial Area
Attached to Seagirt Marine Terminal, the only terminal fully committed
in container operation of Baltimore Port, it is close to I-95, the
East Coast major north-south route, I-70, the interstate connecting
the East Coast and the Midwest and beyond. It boasts modern logistics
network consisting Deep Water, railroad, as well as truck traffic.
In the neighborhood of distribution centers of ACE Hardware, IKEA,
General Electric etc, it has attracted several companies, such as
Merchants Terminal Corporation, Duke Realty, GAF, National Gypsum,
Consol Energy and Canton Stevedoring Company.
Asian
Products Exhibition & Trade Center (USA)
Located in the famous business district of Baltimore Inner Harbor,
it is at the interchange of five state highways and in the center
of the mid-Atlantic corridor and Washington. The floor area of the
center adds up to 343,500 square feet, which enables it to accommodate
suppliers of gifts, apparels and decorations. The Business Center/Bank/Health
Center covers an area of 15,000 square feet, Office Space with central
air condition 30,000 square feet and Wholesale Booth and Space 300,000
square feet. The center offers comprehensive services of Business
Center, Bonded Warehouse, Information, Legal, Accounting, Training
and Travel. It also invites buyers from North America to the monthly
Commodities Show.
