Led by Mrs. May Wang, Executive Director of Maryland Center Shanghai,
Maryland Business Delegation has recently visited Yi Wu City,
Zhe Jiang Province. During their stay in Yi Wu, the delegation
was met by Mr. Wang Kuiming, Deputy Mayor of Yi Wu City.
The visit aims at studying the business model of Yi Wu and discussing
the further cooperation between Maryland and Yi Wu City. The meeting
also covers the possibility for Yi Wu businesses to set up Small
Commodity Mart in Maryland and other cooperation to provide platform
for Chinese enterpreneurs and especially Yi Wu business people
to 'go overseas', thus enhancing the long-term economic and cultural
ties between both sides.
