Working with Maryland Center, the State of Maryland's Office of International Trade offers its ChinaRep Services to Maryland companies. This program is committed to provide Maryland companies with a low cost, low risk method of building a continuous marketing and sales presence in China. The ChinaRep Service is ideal for Maryland companies who are new to the export business as well as established exporters who may not yet have enough export revenues to justify a full-time overseas office. The ChineRep Service provides a Maryland exporter with a continuous and pro-active bilingual sales and marketing presence in China, helping the company to develop a quality presence and image in its target markets.

Maryland Center will work with each Maryland business to develop a work plan tailored to the needs of the individual company. Maryland Center will provide continuous management oversight to insure a consistently high quality work product.

Maryland Center does the research and helps Maryland companies get the important information they need to succeed in China. Maryland Center ChinaRep Service will:

.    Advance Maryland's international trade interests. The China market is full of opportunities, yet it is very special in contrast to the western module. As a result, it is difficult for a western business to get into the China market without extensive research.
.    Answer phones in the native language.
.    Host meetings at the Maryland Center.
.    Develop research on market trends, customers or agents.
.    Conduct mail/telephone campaigns to prospective clients or distributors.
.    Support trips by preparing itineraries and handling logistics.
.    Organize trade shows and export seminars.
.    Provide government relations and public affairs including advocacy support.
